Roumteen has worked across research and business functions in the pharmaceutical industry since 2009. He has experience across the pharmaceutical value chain, including target identification and lead selection in pre-clinical research, R&D and Medical organisation design, and development of EU market access strategies for healthcare products.
Roumteen has spent 8 years working in industry including the early R&D team at MedImmune (now AstraZeneca), Business Development with a Biotech and within Medical Strategy at Merck. Roumteen holds an MEng, MRes and a Doctorate in Biochemical Engineering from University College London.
Director
George has worked across various functions in the pharmaceutical industry since 2008. He has experience across the value chain, from discovery through to lifecycle management. George has supported product development strategy, organisational redesign, regulatory strategy, process design, and due diligence.
Prior to joining Protagoras, he held positions in Regional and Global Medical Affairs at Merck KGaA. George holds an MChem in Chemistry from Oxford University.

Helen has worked as a consultant since 2014 with experience across Clinical Operations, Quality, and Medical Affairs.
She has led projects on operational redesign, process optimisation, strategic engagement, and performance management. Helen holds a degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from Oxford University and a Graduate Diploma in Law from BPP University, and is green belt certified in Lean Six Sigma.
My has over six years’ administration experience and has previously worked in the health and beauty industry as an executive assistant for the founder of The Editor’s List, and as a business manager at Spectacle Skincare. She works closely with our management team providing administrative support and ensuring that the wider team is running effectively on a day-to-day basis.
Outside of work she enjoys running, yoga and is a real foodie.
At Protagoras, Oliver has delivered Global change initiatives for External Engagement across Medical. This includes the introduction of HCP Advocacy Journeys, Key Scientific Messages and HCP sentiment analysis. He has also program-managed the development and implementation of a custom Global CRM for a top 20 Pharma.
Oliver previously delivered global observational studies at IQVIA, designed innovative data collection methodologies such as EMR to EDC transfer, and has developed market access and regulatory strategies for clients. Oliver has a BSc in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Edinburgh.
Charlotte has a strong background in life science management consulting with experience across the pharmaceutical value chain. She has specialised in operational excellence and data-driven decision making. She holds a MSc in Financial Analysis and a BSc (Hons) in Neuroscience.
Outside of work Charlotte enjoys training for an upcoming half marathon and working her way across London’s restaurants.
At Protagoras, Caroline has gained experience across Medical Affairs, Market Access, Clinical Development and R&D Strategy. Previously, Caroline worked at Life Science Dynamics where she led and supported several competitive intelligence, market access and market research projects across indications, product lifecycle and markets for 20 pharmaceutical companies.
She holds a MSc in Translational Neuroscience from Imperial College London and an MSc in International Business Management from the University of Sheffield.
With Protagoras, Javier has led the design, build and implementation of multiple Global Medical management tools, managed process optimisation initiatives, and helped define and implement organisation-wide KPIs for top-20 biopharma.
He has market access and market research experience across oncology (head and neck, lung, blood, brain). Through his previous experience at CIL Management Consultants, Javier supported several commercial strategy and due diligence engagements across the healthcare and technology sectors. He holds a MEng in Biomedical Engineering from Imperial.
Outside of work, he enjoys live music and photography.
Polly has experience in Market Research, Patient Journey development, and Design & Implementation supporting the Medical and Commercial teams of Global top 20 pharma.
Previous experience includes leading the development and execution of multiple multi-market patient journeys within the auto-immune and infectious disease space, where she performed both primary and secondary research to create multi-layer interactive patient journey materials. Polly holds an MChem in Chemistry from Imperial College London.
Outside of work, she enjoys fantasy literature.
Annabel has a background in competitive intelligence and has specialised in commercial strategy, competitive positioning and life cycle management for top 20 Biopharma. She holds a MSc in Population Health from UCL and a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from the University of Bath.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, hot yoga and trying out new vegetarian restaurants.
Isabel has a background conducting research on European Healthcare Stems and commercial due diligence for PE transactions.
She has a special focus on healthcare strategy, client deliverables on digital healthcare, health tech, pharmaceuticals and has covered many projects with global pharma clients, social care clients and healthcare tech firms. Isabel is a Medical Doctor and holds an MSc in Health Policy, Finance and Planning at the LSE.
Karen has experience in R&D Consulting, carrying out extensive research on APIs and drug product development manufacturing technologies. She has a special focus on designing and building tools to deliver data-driven insights in Medical Affairs.
Karen holds an MPhil in Russian and East European studies from the University of Oxford with a background in interdisciplinary social science research.
Since joining Protagoras, Tara has supported in projects across Medical Affairs and Clinical Operations. Tara previously worked at Syneos Health CRO, gaining experience in project management of Phase 2 Oncology trials. Tara has an MSc in Computational Neuroscience and a BSc in Neuroscience.
In her free time, Tara enjoys dancing and trying new food.
Deandra joined Protagoras as an intern in April 2022 for her Professional Internship (PIPs) and has since then continued working as a part-time analyst. Deandra holds an MEng in Biomedical Engineering from Imperial College London and is currently a final-year PhD student at King’s College investigating fibrotic skin disorders.
In her free time, Deandra enjoys trying out new restaurants and staying active.
Emma supports the design, build and implementation of global Medical management tools. She holds an MChem in Chemistry from University of Oxford where she specialised in photoactivated theranostic cancer drugs.
Outside of work, she enjoys running and going to the gym.
Shani has almost two decades’ experience advising global biopharma clients across the full R&D spectrum. He has extensive experience within Regulatory, Medical, Safety, Clinical, and Quality, and has consulted on client strategy, operations, governance, and compliance.
Shani holds an BSc in Molecular Genetics from King’s College London, a PhD in Neuroscience from UCL, and an MBA from London Business School.
Prish supports the development of Medical tools to help address knowledge gaps as well as the implementation of Medical management systems. She holds an MPH from Queen’s University Belfast where she conducted cancer research.
Outside of work, she enjoys playing the piano and classical Indian dancing.
